Late last year, the station ran its annual Toy Story campaign that saw over 10,000 new toys donated and over R1.2-million raised through the 12-hour long telethon.
This Mandela Day, East Coast Radio will be visiting the four rural schools; Mqongqotho Primary School, Mqhathi Primary School, Jabulani Primary School and Maria Memorial School who benefitted from the contributions made through Toy Story.

From infrastructure, toilets, kitchens and a library, ECR will be giving back through Toy Story on #MandelaDay in reflection of Madiba’s life and legacy - celebrating the great man in a sustainable way to bring about enduring change together with their partners, Toys R us and Babies R Us.
Tune in to East Coast Radio – all Mandela Day on Thursday, 18 July to find out how your contribution made a difference.
