VIDEO: The dog that refused to die
Updated | By Rory Petzer

The mixed-breed dog was left at an Alabama animal shelter in August when his owner relocated and decided to no longer care for him.
When the dog arrived, he was already bleeding, with a pad missing on one of his feet after surviving a car accident.
After failing to find a home for him, Ozark City Animal Shelter decided to put the dog down.
Animal control officer Wanda Snell said he was given the lethal injection last month.
Snell says when she arrived for work the next day she saw the animal standing in an outside pen, looking a little dazed.
It is not known how the dog survived the lethal injection, but staff at the shelter decided to rename him Lazarus - after the character who, according to the Christian Bible, was brought back from the dead by Jesus.
Lazarus has since made a full recovery and has found a happy home.
