26-year-old Nicholas Wig allegedly robbed the home of James Wood in Minnesota last Thursday. Cash, credit cards and a watch were stolen. The alleged thief, Wig, left one very, very incriminating clue.
The alleged burglar, Nicholas Wig could not resist checking his Facebook account at the house he was allegedly robbing.
Once he was satisfied with his loot, and ready to make a run for it, Wig logged in to his Facebook account on the victim's laptop.
What Wig didn't do was log out before leaving.
When James Wood arrived home and saw his place had been ransacked, he also noticed a strange Facebook profile open on his laptop.
He immediately shared an image of Wig from Wig's profile.
To make an already silly and long story short, Wig was arrested shortly afterwards and faces up to ten years in prison.
He has also become a contender for the world's most stupid criminal ever!
