PHOTOS: Darren's golf challenge
Keagan Daniel, Daryn Smit and our very own Darren Maule get challenged to chip a golf ball onto the green from on top of the Volvo golf truck.
There can’t be much better than throwing a bunch of personalities together and giving them a challenge.
What made this challenge especially interesting as that we were asked to do something that none of us had any prior experience with.
Now you would think that between rugby, cricket and radio personalities that at least one of us would have had some experience in the challenge presented to us, but you would be wrong.
It is not every day that one gets asked to try and chip a golf ball onto a green from on top of a truck!
A challenge that would have even Jean Claude Van Damme shacking in his boots.
The organisers of the Volvo Golf Championship with East coast Radio and IMG presented just this challenge to myself, Keagan Daniel, Daryn Smit and others at the Durban country Club in the build up to the International Golfing Championship happening at DCC 9-12 January 2014.
You might be a little surprised at who won the challenge of “closest to the pin from the top of a Volvo truck.” Take a look at the video here.
