Oscar to teach my kids? Oh hell no!

When Darren was asked if he would allow his daughter to receive instruction/mentorship/lessons from Oscar Pistorius - his immediate knee jerk reaction was 'no'. Find out why here.
Oscar Pistorius' lawyer has said that when Oscar is released (August 2015) he would like to work with children.
When I was asked if I would allow my daughter to receive instruction/mentorship/lessons from Oscar Pistorius - my immediate knee jerk reaction was no.
But why would it be such an immediate no?
Surely the man has done his time, I hear you say. Shouldn't a man be given a second chance? I mean the man had no previous history of violence prior to killing Reeva Steenkamp. He has experienced the full weight of the law and has 'done his time.'
I also believe that our correctional services system should serve as an institution of rehabilitation and not just punishment through incarceration.
So... Why did I say 'No.'?
Well, part of my job as a parent is to protect my child to the best of my ability. This also means ensuring my daughter is safe in the company of those to whom I entrust my precious child. Often these decisions are based on a 'feeling' or gut instinct. My gut says No. So I say No. Emphatically!
What would you do?
Would you allow Oscar to work with your children?
