Metro cop filmed asking for bribe
A metro policeman has been caught on camera asking for a bribe in an alleged drunk driving incident.
A video doing the rounds at the moment shows a Jozi driver being pulled over by a traffic cop for drunk driving.
In the footage you can clearly hear (and see!) the cop asking for R200 to make it all go away.
The footage ends soon after the bribe is requested, but the driver was apparently arrested after he refused to pay the bribe and asked for the cop's badge number.
According to information posted on YouTube, the driver was then taken to the Honeydew Police Station to have a blood sample taken, and was charged with driving under the influence. He was released on R1 500 bail.
