How to get your kid to focus

I've been having some trouble getting my little Mary Mouse to focus recently. 

She gets so excited she starts a million projects but, unfortunately - just like her Dad, she doesn't find time to finish any one of them because she's got so many on the go at once.

Sometimes when she's trying to tell me a story she, just like her Dad, branches off and branches off the branches so that 9 times out of 10 she's left standing saying; 'What was I talking about?'

The problem is; every time I tell her to 'take a breath' or 'calm down' or heaven forbid I ask he to focus - it just irks her and she ends up saying; 'I am focused!' followed shortly by; 'what's focus?'

So I recorded her in what now has turned out to be my stock standard go-to example of what happens when you lose focus.
