Don't lie to your dad
Updated | By tanstan fourie
Darren came across this video of a dad reacting to his kid telling him someone at school scared him. It seems this dad wanted to stop his kid from making things up but in a very peculiar way.
In the video below it appears the little boy made up a story about another kid scaring him, but as the conversation gets serious the little boy confesses that he made the whole thing up: ‘Daddy, I can’t believe I’m telling you this but I’m just joking. I got you good daddy, huh daddy?’
But it’s too late.
His dad launches into an angry rant about how he’s going to borrow a bow and arrow and a gun and murder the family of the kid who scared him.
Throughout his speech the child persists he was only joking and ‘doesn’t want to be the bad guy’.
The dad continues and the little boy starts to cry.
After a while the dad bursts into hysterics and says: ‘I got you bad,’ he says. ‘You see what happens when you lie? Don’t lie again.’
The boy luckily seems to be ok with the very odd prank his dad pulled on him, replying: ‘You really got me good.’
Do you have an unusual way of disciplining your kids?
Check out how this prank unfolds here:
We asked you whether your parents did something unusual to discipline you?
Well Natarah had this hilarious story to share:
'I wasn’t a naughty child. Well, as far as I can remember, I was the teacher’s pet; the poster child for good behaviour.
However, there was that one time when I was about five years old, when I did something so bad that my mum abandoned all traditional forms of discipline to deal with me.
I can’t remember what I did exactly to deserve this punishment. All I remember is that I hated every second of it!
It was worse than the naughty corner. It was more evil than the belt. What was this punishment that I still fear to this day?
It was the dreaded nappy-washing sentence.
I had to wash my baby brother’s soiled nappies! Back then, towelling nappies were all we had before we could afford disposable diapers. That meant washing dirty nappes on a daily basis for my mum.
She decided though that she would fight fire with fire when I misbehaved that day. In exchange for my terrible behaviour, I got the most “loo-dicrous” punishment of all.
As I stood over the outdoor stone sink, rubbing the famous green soap over each nappy, I remember telling myself to never get on my mum’s nerves again or until my brother outgrew his nappies!'
Are you that parent? Do you have an unusual way of disciplining your kids?
