A brighter future thanks to The Big Favour
Updated | By Rory Petzer
Like a large percentage of the youth in South Africa, three young learners, Talent, Sifiso and Simphiwe have been struggling to find work. Thanks to a few sponsors and The Big Favour, the struggle is about to end.
Making their efforts to find employment even more challenging, Simphiwe and Sifiso both have special needs.
Simphiwe has been on crutches all his life and Sifiso suffered a stroke in 2009.
Talent, Simphiwe and Sifiso wrote in to The Big Favour just asking for some sort of assistance.
For example, even the opportunity for someone to believe in them enough to take them under their wing in a learnership programme of some sort.
Well, thanks to Invuya Institute of Learning and Bay Union, Talent, Simphiwe and Sifiso will be placed on a learnership programme and earn a salary while training until such time as they are in a better position to be employed.
They will be trained under the directorship of Nando Menin.
For all three, the future is now far, far brighter.
