The Big Favour helps a hero

Colleen is a single grandmother surviving solely on money she makes as a car guard, working seven days a week. Colleen's two daughters disappeared, leaving her with six children to rear.

Colleen wrote to the Big Favour asking for help, as she is struggling to make ends meet.

This, after her two daughters turned to a life of drugs and alcohol, leaving Colleen to care for their six children.

The children are between the ages of 2 and 12 years old.

Colleen says she is doing her best, working as a car guard for more than 12 hours a day, seven days per week, but once the rent is paid, there is barely anything left for basic necessities, food, let alone school clothes, school fees and the like.

Thanks to Mornay and the team at Avonmore Superspar and Greg at Queensmead Superspar, Colleen will be given two months groceries, delivered on a weekly basis.

Tim Spann and the team at Clothing Junction also stepped in to help by giving Colleen and all six children new clothing.

Tim also promised to give the each child a brand new outfit on his / her birthday.

Colleen, we salute you.
