Beautiful moment 102-year-old watches younger self dance
Updated | By Rory Petzer
While on her death bed, 102-year-old Alice Barker was treated to some footage filmed in the 1940s. Not just any footage though.
102-year-old Alice Barker watched herself dance on camera for the first time ever, while lying in bed in her nursing home.
Her successful dancing career strarted in the early 1930s.
Barker was a chorus-line dancer during the Harlem Renaissance of the '30s and '40s.
Despite having appeared in several films, she had never actually seen herself dance on film.
Filmmakers decided to visit her on her death bed to show her footage of herself filmed during the '40s.
Barker just watched in awe and said, "It makes me wish I could get out of this bed and do it all over again."
