VIDEO: Big salmon in fast rivers

Salmon are valued for the oily meat they produce. They are also known to supply anglers with quite a contest.

Salmon species include the chinook, sockeye, pink and Atlantic salmon. Some are landlocked, while others have access to the ocean.

Salmon meat is rich in essential fats and also Vitamin D.

Salmon fishing with rod and reel can be tricky and is not considered the best option for beginners.
