Sharks start in Kimberley
Cell C Sharks will launch their Absa Currie Cup season on 9 August.
That is when the Sharks will face Griquas in Kimberley.
The Sharks are expected to name their Currie Cup captain within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Craig Joubert will referee the Vodacom SupeRugby final this weekend.
The South African will handle a match featuring the Waratahs and the Crusaders.
They will clash in Sydney on Saturday.
Kickoff is at 11h40 in the morning - South African time.
