Monster shad on the Bluff

Tommy from DUC sent some exciting angling updates, apparently on Tuesday afternoon at Garvies at Boyens Hole one lucky angler landed a 5-6kg shad and the shad in the area have all been a good size.

I hope for the angler’s sake that he went to the Kingfisher to enter  his fish into the Biggest Shad Compo because he could win hands down!

Paddle ski anglers have also been landing plenty of shad opposite north pier, there have been some small ones but the majority of them are making size.

The anglers with the new permits that have been fishing off South Pier have been fortunate to land a few Geelbek.
