LISTEN | Ferrari's rolling the dice in Barcelona
Updated | By JacPod
With the
Barcelona Grand Prix coming up on Sunday, Ferrari's decided that it's time to
change up their fast-paced car. But what does that mean for Carlos Sainz going
into his home race? Find out in this week’s episode of Track This.
With the
Miami Grand Prix done and dusted, Track This host radio and TV personality and
motorsport commentator Kriya Gangiah is not convinced that it lived up to its much-anticipated
hype, “besides the last 10 laps, I was bored out of my mind.”
The race
saw Red Bull and Ferrari once again fight for the top honours with Max
Verstappen taking the win and Charles Leclarc and Carlos Sainz completing the
podium after a safety car was deployed due to an accident between Lando Norris
and Pierre Gasly on lap 41.
Panelist
and racing driver Tschops Sipuka however feels that the race was worth the
watch, “It was a fantastic start, Max Verstappen clawed in and extracted the
best out of his car.”
Currently
Leclarc leads the championship, just 19 points ahead of Verstappen as we
approach round six in Barcelona. Motorsport analyst and TopGear SA Director,
Avon Middleton predicts that there will be changes to both cars: “As Red Bull
has made some updates this season, Ferrari is going to do just that.”
This will
hopefully provide for some exciting racing on a circuit that normally doesn’t
have a lot of overtaking, but who will get those much need championship points?
This round of race predictions is very different so take a listen to the full Track This podcast and let us know who you think will win via the team's social media channels linked under the podcast.
