Zuma will not appear at Zondo Commission, lawyer confirms

Embattled former president Jacob Zuma says he will not appear at the State Capture Commission this week.
This follows a summons issued by Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo instructing Zuma to appear before the commission and a ConCourt ruling compelling him to answer questions at the commission.

But Zuma's legal team, who sent what they described as a 'courtesy letter' to the commission this morning, say the summons is irregular and not inline with our constitution among other issues.
His team also says the commission has failed to consider Zuma's application for Zondo to review his recusal decision.
