Nkosentsha Shezi is with a group called the Radical Economic Transformation Champions.

He says thousands of supporters have already made their way from KZN to Gauteng to rally behind Zuma, who appears before the commission on state capture allegations.

Shezi says Zuma is the father of radical economic transformation who was promised to South Africans.

He says they will picket outside Hillside House in Parktown, Johanesburg.

"We are carrying placards with slogans and messages of support to Jacob Zuma. We are also highlighting issues around the Commission itself and the manner in which justice is applied."

People across the country will be taking in the goings at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry today, like never before - when it resumes at 10 this morning.

"I think it's very important to point out that he is the one who signed this Commission into law before he was recalled as president of the country," political analyst, Protas Madlala said.

Madlala says it's important that the former president tell his side of the story.

"From his first charges where he was associated with Schabir Schaik in Durban, in 2005, he has always said he wanted his day in court. This is a chance for him to answer."
