Zuma-Sambudla and Ndhlela expelled from MK Party
Party leaders say the pair's public statements and actions undermined organisational unity, challenged leadership structures and contributed to divisions within the movement.
Former MP Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla has been expelled from the uMkhonto weSizwe Party.
The MKP has also terminated the membership of its spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela.
Allegations of misconduct
At a press briefing in Gauteng on Wednesday afternoon, the organisation's secretary-general, Sibonelo Nomvalo said the party found that the actions, public statements and activities of both members were in conflict with their constitutional obligations.
“Ms Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla. The party has noted repeated public statements and social media publications that have undermined organisational unity, promoted factional narratives, publicly discredited recognised party leadership structures, challenged the legitimacy of party decisions, and brought internal organisational matters into the public domain.”
“These actions have contributed to divisions within the movement,” Nomvalo said.

Njingila matter referenced
Nomvalo says Ndhlela acted without organisational authority and convened media briefings without approval.
“The party further notes with serious concern that the conduct of both members following the passing of MK Member of Parliament, [the] Honorable Muzi Njingila. Ms Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla and Mr Nhlamulo Ndlela participated in an activity that resulted in the transfer of an ailing Mr Njingila to another health facility without the knowledge of the family.”
