Zuma loses bid to prosecute Downer, Maughan

The High Court in Pietermaritzburg has set aside with costs Jacob Zuma's application to privately prosecute, Advocate Billy Downer and journalist Karyn Maughan.

The pair went to court to stop the former president from prosecuting them, after he alleged his medical notes were leaked to the media.

Zuma accused the state advocate of leaking his records to Maughan, which they denied, stating the information was placed on the public court record.
The summons served by Zuma was also set aside on Wednesday morning.
