Youngest EC bus crash victim loses fight in hospital

A baby that was critically injured in Monday's horror bus crash in the Eastern Cape has died.
The bus plunged down an embankment on the N2 in the Kei Cuttings between Butterworth and East London.
Eastern Cape Transport Department spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, says this takes the overall death toll to 31.

"The young girl, approximately a year old, has sadly succumbed to her injuries and died in hospital this morning, taking the death toll to 31.
"An update on the identification of the deceased's bodies is that 23 have positively been identified and we are hoping that we may be able to wrap-up process no later than today."
