Woolworths has recalled a limited batch of WBeauty Complete Clarifying Shampoo after bacterial contamination was detected, offering customers full refunds without proof of purchase.
Woolworths has recalled its WBeauty Complete Clarifying Shampoo after tests detected bacteria in a limited batch.
The 250-millilitre bottle has been removed from stores, with customers asked to return it for a full refund.
Woolworths says the risk to healthy people is considered low, but people with weakened immune systems should stop using the product due to the risk of bacterial infection.
The recall follows additional testing after an initial issue was identified with a limited batch.
Customers do not need proof of purchase for a refund.

All WBeauty haircare products are locally produced in South Africa.
