Water cuts planned for Umgungundlovu
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Parts of the Umgungundlovu District Municipality can expect water cuts tomorrow.
The municipality is urging residents, businesses and schools in the affected areas to collect and store water today, ahead of the planned shutdown.
The first of the two shutdowns will take place in the uMkhambathini CBD between 8:00am and 4:30pm in the afternoon.
Head of Technical Services at Umgungundlovu Bheki Mbambo says the shutdown is due to operational procedures.
"We want to clean the reservoir so that they can be in a healthy state. For us to do that we have to take the water out the reservoir, clean it, and return it back to standard," he said.
