Doctors say a set of Pongola twins who were conjoined - are recovering well at Durban's Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital, after undergoing a delicate, marathon operation.
The little girls, Siphiwe and Nkosingiphiwe Mbuyisa, underwent a 13 hour operation last week.
They were joined at the chest and abdomen.
KZN Health MEC, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, has praised the team of about 25 specialists who performed the successful operation.

Chief specialist for neo-natal medicine - Dr Harshavadan Mackanjee says the most difficult part of separating conjoined twins is knowing they might not survive.
Mackanjee has described the surgery as a miracle.
"This operation represents a magnificent exercise of cooperation, discipline and expertise - that is only possible if you have a group of specialists that are working together. And fortunately, this was possible at Albert Luthuli Hospital," he said.
One of the girls is currently on life support - while her sister started breathing on her own earlier today.
