Warning of strong winds in KZN
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The SA Weather Service says strong gusts of wind are this afternoon expected in parts of KwaZulu-Natal - as a cold front approaches.
Forecasters say wind speeds up to 55-60km (35 knots) per hour are expected.
In a statement, eThekwini says pedestrians are being warned to be careful when walking between buildings, near fallen trees or power lines.
Motorists are also being asked to be cautious while on the road.
The municipality is also urging residents in informal settlements to secure their homes - and to apply fire safety precautions to prevent any fires from igniting.
