Veteran actress Connie Chiume dies at 72

Veteran television actress Connie Chiume has passed away at the age of 72.
The award-winning actress died at Garden City Hospital in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
The family confirmed the news of her passing on her official Instagram page.
"The Chiume family regrets to inform you of the passing of the internationally acclaimed award-winning actress Connie Chiume.
"The family asks for privacy during this difficult period. The family will communicate further details,"
Connie was born in Welkom on 5 June 1952.
On television, she starred in series such as Zone 14, Rhythm City, and Gomora.
In 2018, Chiume played the Mining Tribe Elder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Black Panther.
Chiume's latest roles were in Black Panther, Black Is King and Blessers.
