Verulam woman in court on drug-related charges

A 39-year-old woman is appearing in the Verulam Magistrate's Court, north of Durban on drug-related charges today.
She was arrested on suspicion of dealing in drugs following a raid on an Umhlanga property suspected of being a drug den yesterday.

Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says police found heroin and mandrax with a street value of more than R200,000."A 39-year-old woman was arrested and charged for dealing in drugs. Police are still investigating to determine whether she was working with any other drug dealers," said Zwane.
Zwane says 1,094 heroin capsules, 1,611 mandrax tablets and 689 ecstasy pills were recovered.
