Update expected after KZN Health receives latest listeriosis report
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
KZN Health officials are awaiting the updated report on the listeriosis outbreak.
The country's communicable diseases experts were meant to send the document yesterday but the department says there's been a delay because of the public holiday.
Health's Agiza Hlongwane says they need to see the NICD's analysis first before commenting on a weekend newspaper report that a dairy farm in Winterton and shops selling milk in Colenso and Bergville had tested positive for listeriosis.

He says there have been no new cases in the region since the beginning of the year.
"The NICD are the authorities on this issue. All the top scientists in the country work with them. They are issuing reports on a weekly basis so it will be sometime this week. As soon as this report is out - we will then have a look and issue something based on it," Hlongwane says.
The death toll nationally stands at 183.
