Netcare911's Chris Botha says another body was recovered from underneath the bus.
"It has been quite a tragic scene. But when we lifted the bus up, we found that another person was trapped under the bus- which brings the death toll to three,"he said.
Botha says all the injured passengers have since been taken to hospital for further care:
"There was a total of three people that was in serious condition, 20 that was moderate injuries, and 40 that sustained relatively minor injuries. One of the seriously injured patients - a female - was airlifted by emergency services to hospital. All the other injured were transported to various hospitals for further care," he said.

The crash occurred the day before a Transport Indaba will be held in the city.
Tomorrow's indaba at the Durban ICC is expected to focus on anti-corruption measures within the sector.
Around 1000 traffic officers from all provinces and municipalities will take part in the event.
Transport Minister, Dipuo Peters, will deliver the keynote address.
