Unisa classes resume after Durban protests
Updated | By Nondumiso Zakwe
The campus closed its doors this week following student protest action there.
Students demanded the varsity re-open several exam venues that had been closed since June.
Makhanya says there had been a dispute with the service provider but he has stressed they are working on identifying new venues, convenient for students.
''If such contracts come to an end and the relationship is broken between the university and its service provider, it makes it difficult for the institution to renew the contract with the service provider, unless they have a discussion and reach some kind of an agreement.
''If so then we stand a better chance to explain what happens after,'' he said.
