Hairdressers, beauticians and nail technicians had to shut their businesses at the end of March when our total coronavirus lockdown took effect. They haven't been able to work since then.

UASA says the lockdown regulations are killing the industry. It's also forced some operators to work from home.

"I've had to adjust. I've had no choice because financially I need the money."

Running her business from home - she says she understands the risks. But she says she can't wait to start working again.

"We'll definitely try our best to follow safety regulations because at the end of the day it's going to affect us as well as our families.

"We going to make sure that we sanitize and make sure our space around us is well taken care of."

The beauty industry is expected to be allowed to reopen under lockdown Level 1.
