Farouk Mhlongo is believed to have been kidnapped from Clairwood outside a Madressa. His mother attends Islamic studies there on Flower Road.

According to Farouk's father, Vusi Mhlongo, his child was playing inside the gated property at a creche when he saw a motorbike outside. Mhlongo says CCTV footage shows the little boy walking outside the creche to get a closer look at the bike. He says the owner of the motorcycle is seen talking to Farouk and a short while later, another man stops his car to talk to the boy.

A distressed Mhlongo says the owner of the car is seen holding Farouk's hand before leaving with him.

"That man took him there. He took my child and then he went with him. The police are busy with the case."

Mhlongo says they are not sure if the driver thought Farouk was lost.

It is important to note though that he has not taken the child to a police station and both have not been seen since.

Mhlongo says they just want their little boy back.

"I'm pleading, I'm pleading to you. I'm hurt. This is my son. Please, if anyone sees Farouk Ebrahim Mhlongo, please I need him. Please."

Police are investigating a case of kidnapping.
