UKZN lectures suspended for 2 more days

The University of KwaZulu-Natal has suspended it's academic programme on all campuses for another two days.
UKZN says more time is needed for discussions between management and the SRC.
The move follows violent protests at the institution's Westville campus earlier this week.
Spokesperson Lesiba Seshoka says while the decision to suspend lectures so close to the end of year exams is regrettable they will ensure lost time and academic activities are recovered.
He says the decision was taken for several reasons.
''This is to ensure that we are able to deal decisively with whatever criminal elements taking place at the university.
''We want to make sure that we give the police sufficient space to do their work and because Friday actually marks the end of the semester for us,'' he said.
