Two suspected hijackers due in Durban court

Two suspected hijackers are due to line up in court today. Police say one of them is believed to be a repeat offender.
The men
have been linked to an attack on an e-hailing cab driver in Durban’s Morningside
area.

They were nabbed while they were trying to make their getaway in the stolen vehicle.
The police's Thembeka Mbele says officers in Newlands have been investigating one suspect since June.

“One of the suspects had been wearing a municipal uniform. Upon further investigation it was established that he does not work for the municipality,” said Mbele.
“Police are still trying to see whether they are linked to any other pending cases,” she continued.
