Two nabbed during R7m drug bust at Umhlanga flat

Police have seized
drugs with a street value of R7 million in a flat in Umhlanga Ridge, north of
Durban
A 36-year-old man was arrested by the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit after he was caught packaging the large quantity of drugs.
The drugs found in the flat included 17 kilograms of cocaine powder, 8 400 pieces of rock cocaine, 155 moons of cocaine, and 714 mandrax tablets.
"While the team was busy conducting a search, a 29-year-old woman obstructed police officers from executing their duties.," says police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala.

"It was established that she was in the country illegal. She was placed under arrest for defeating the ends of justice and also for Immigration Act.
"Both suspects will appear before the Durban Magistrate's Court next week."
