Two killed in truck crash on N2 near Zinkwazi
Two people have been killed in a double truck crash near Zinkwazi on the
KZN north coast.
The heavy-duty vehicles collided on the N2 northbound on Monday morning.
Paramedics on the scene say three other people were critically hurt.
"The N2 has now been completely closed, with traffic being diverted over the bridge. Some motorists can expect delays,” says IPSS Medical Rescue's Samantha Meyrick.

“We currently have two fatalities and three critically injured patients who are trapped. KZN Fire Department and Rural Metro Fire Department are working to extricate the patients.”
Meanwhile, eyewitness reports are that amid the chaos, looters descended on the crash scene, where one of the trucks was transporting liquor.
