Twitter users react to Vodacom data disappearance
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Vodacom says majority of affected customers - whose data and airtime vanished late yesterday - have since been refunded.
Spokesperson, Bryon Kennedy says they're still working to remedy the situation. The data billing issue was caused by a system, the company says.
"95% of our customers' whose data or airtime were affected, have been reinstated or refunded. Our main priority and emphasis is making sure we remedy the situation with our customers.

"The issue has been isolated. This is a high priority for us. The investigations into what led to the system error will continue in due course," says Kennedy.
The company has issued a statement - detailing an apology to affected costumers, which says out-of-bundle charges will be fully refunded and depleted bundles reinstated.
Dear @Vodacom please refund @whimzee_m and others urgently. For many this means lost employment and study opportunities, among other losses

The worst part is that someone could have been stranded/in danger and was not able to get a hold of anyone because of @Vodacom incompetency.

Charged 5GBs at 8.30, gone at 8.40. Tried again. Charged 2GBs at 10.26, gone by 10.30
Issa scam.
@Vodacom has also failed to communicate to customers who aren't on social media, yet they're very quick to bombard them with promo sms's.
