Tributes pour in for theatre director Themi Venturas

Theatre great, Themi Venturas has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer - after he was diagnosed earlier this year.
The Zimbabwean-born artist was renowned for his productions on stage in KZN and abroad and for helping to develop young performing artists.
His career in the performing arts industry spanned 30 years.
The 59-year-old was the director of production company, Themi Venturas Productions and festival director of Durban International Blues Festival. Venturas also headed the Dance and Theatre Network of KZN. He's worked closely with Durban’s Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, UKZN.

Messages of condolences have been pouring in on social media - with Venturas's passing described as a great loss for the entertainment industry. Friends and colleagues say Venturas was a 'legend in the world of the arts' and 'a great inspiration'.
