Thousands of vehicles en route to Durban today
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Traffic volumes into Durban have peaked today, with numbers expected to increase this afternoon.
According to the N3 Toll Concession, over 1-200 vehicles went through the Mooi River Tool Plaza between 09h00 and 11h00 this morning.
The Concession's Andy Visser says De Hoek traffic leaving Gauteng has also been heavy and it's anticipated that these motorists will arrive in KwaZulu-Natal later this afternoon.
"I think tomorrow it's going to be fairly quiet. Christmas Day is typically a quiet day on the route, not much traffic. So, we're not anticipating major traffic volumes tomorrow," she said.
