Teacher dies at school
Gauteng Education MEC Panayza Lesufi rushed to a school in Pretoria where a teacher died this morning.
Earlier reports indicated the teacher died in class, but the education department's Oupa Bodibe, has now confirmed that she died in the bathroom.
Bodibe says the teacher was invigilating an exam when she left the class.
"The teacher then went to the bathroom where she collapsed and died", says Bodibe.
Bodibe says the school district is trying to assist learners and educators in receiving counselling.
Gauteng Education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi also shared the news of the teacher's passing on social media.
