Taxi operations back to normal in Ladysmith

All operations are back to normal at the Ladysmith Taxi rank, following a dispute between operators.
On Wednesday, taxi's were used to block the roads leading up to the rank, forcing operations to come to a halt.
This left commuters with no choice but to seek alternative transport routes.

Police had to use stun grenades to disperse the taxi drivers, and impounded seven minibuses when drivers refused to remove their vehicles.
It's alleged that the Klipriver and Sizwe Taxi Association are fighting over ownership of the local taxi rank.

SANTACO KZN's Sifiso Shangase says this cannot be because Klipriver won ownership of the rank in court last year.
