Taxi crashes into tree in PMB
Emergency services have had to cut a taxi driver out of his vehicle after crashing into a tree in Pietermaritzburg's Oribi area this morning.
ER24 says three other people were hurt in the crash.
The jaws of life had to be used to free the driver from the wreckage.
The injured were treated on scene before being taken to hospital.
One man was also killed in a separate accident on the N2 near Twini Hill in Toti south of Durban in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Netcare 911 says a man and woman had been thrown from the vehicle.
The man passed away on scene before medics arrived.
The woman sustained only minor injuries.
