Suspected Sydenham serial rapist to remain behind bars
A man suspected of rape in Durban's Sydenham area is to remain behind bars for another week.
"The 30-year-old man appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on charges of rape, kidnapping and pointing of a firearm," says NPA KZN spokesperson Natasha Kara.
"The matter was remanded to 16 May for bail information."

The suspect had previously been linked to a number of other cases in Sydenham.
He's accused of targeting women who were walking alone in the area, and forcing them at gunpoint into his vehicle.
