Suspected robber shot dead in north KZN
A suspected robber has been shot dead by police in a foiled robbery in Umkuze - northern KZN.
It's believed two armed men stormed a local cash loan store earlier this morning.
The police's Thulani Zwane says they arrived on scene to find that the suspects had barricaded themselves inside the building with staff and clients.
''When the suspects saw police they started shooting at them and then the members reiterated. The police managed to shoot one of the suspects dead and the other suspect was arrested.
''He will be charged for business robbery, attempted murder as well possession of unlicensed firearms after being found in possession of two unlicensed firearms,'' he said.
