Students demand more info on DUT attack

Students at the Durban University of Technology have asked management to share more information with them about the attack that left a fellow student in a critical condition in hospital.
Sandile Ndlovu's cellphone and laptop were taken.
His family has urged witnesses to get in touch with investigators. Berea Saps is investigating a case of attempted murder.
Students who protested outside the Steve Biko campus yesterday asked to be briefed on what happened to Ndlovu.

Thalente Hadebe says they are scared."If this can happen to Sandile, it can happen to anyone. Who is next? It could be you, it could be me. During this time we were expecting to see footage, but there is nothing. It is very sad," she said.

Meanwhile, DUT says classes will kick off again tomorrow. The academic programme was suspended last week.Management met with the SRC yesterday and says it is currently dealing with students' concerns.
