Storm affected voting stations in KZN given all clear
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The Provincial Government says all KwaZulu-Natal voting stations affected by the recent storms and subsequent floods will be accessible tomorrow when we vote.
"We are presently still on the ground with the graders, TLBs and the rollers that are assisting to ensure that all roads are accessible even if they are not yet [surfaced]," she said.
Co-operative Governance MEC, Nomusa Dube-Ncube says crews have been hard at work ensuring bridges and roads are rehabilitated before voting day.
"Initially, we had about 14 bridges covered with debris as a result of the storm damage. We also had about 215 roads affected by floods."
Dube-Ncube says the 33 affected roads in eThekwini have been restored.
