Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
A member of the public has died after being caught in the crossfire of yesterday's shootout between police and suspected cash-in-transit robbers in Parlock, north of the city.
The Hawks in KZN have confirmed the worker's death while three other bystanders were hurt in the incident.
Spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo also confirmed that a sixth suspect died in hospital overnight.
The suspects had tried to rob a cash-in-transit vehicle in Durban's Springfield area. One suspect died near a shopping centre in Umgeni Road, four others were gunned down after a chase in Parlock.
