Second body recovered from Waterloo wall collapse

Search and rescue teams have recovered a second body from the rubble of a collapsed wall in Waterloo, north of Durban.
A 59-year-old mother and her 16-year-old son were in the house when it partially caved in during heavy rains on Thursday night.
Rescue teams began working on Thursday night, but had to suspend the search until it was safe for them to continue.
They resumed the operation on Friday and recovered the body of the woman earlier.
"A multidisciplinary operation saw members of the South African Police Services Search and Rescue Unit, K9 Search and Rescue Unit together with Emer-G-Med Search and Rescue, eThekwini Fire and Rescue Services, working with the eThekwini Municipal Roads department and structural engineers throughout the day," says Emer-G-Med's Kyle van Reenen.
"A delicate operation was performed to remove the concrete and debris which had fallen and to secure the scene to enable Rescue workers to be able to retrieve the bodies safely and provide much-needed closure to the family."
IPSS Medical Rescue teams also helped in the operation.
