Search ongoing for suspects in murder of Ladysmith official
A search is still on for the killers of a Ladysmith municipal official who was shot dead in the CBD yesterday.
Police say Oscar Hlatshwayo - a technical director at the Alfred Duma Municipality - was gunned down by two men in an ambush.
The motive for the killing is unknown.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says the assailants fired several shots before fleeing.
"During the incident, his vehicle collided with a taxi and other vehicles. The suspect followed him and shot hum several times. He died at he scene. They fled in a getaway car," Mbele said.

Mbele says police are investigating a case of murder and there have been no arrests yet.
