Search for boy missing at Blythedale Beach to continue
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A search for a 13-year-old boy presumed to have drowned on the north coast is entering its fourth day.
The child was swept out to sea at Blythedale Beach on Thursday.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Paul Herbst says their search and rescue division has joined SAPS divers and KwaDukuza lifeguards in efforts to find the boy.
"Crews conducted short patrols as well as watercraft patrols out at sea", he said.
"Aerial support was provided with the use of drones, a helicopter and microlights", Herbst said.
"Unfortunately the third day of the search provided no results. The search, however, will continue and hopefully bring closure to the family", he said.
