Scottburgh officer, dog hailed as heroes
A Scottburgh police officer and his patrol dog are the heroes of the day.
Constabel Brandon Gates and patrol dog, Zues were part of the team that rearrested a suspected burglar last week, who escaped from police custody.
Mduduzi Zama was nabbed by officers after he was seen in Ward 4 in Scottburgh's Amandawe area
Zama was initially arrested on several charges of housebreaking before he escaped from the Scottburgh Magistrates’ Court.
Constable Gates and his canine colleague, Zues have been instrumental in the operation.
